Flooring Types
At Wide Plank Hardwood, we manufacture both Solid and Engineered flooring, making the choice between the two options is an important decision that goes beyond personal preference. The sub-floor, heating system and installation area determine if one should use Solid or Engineered. Our Solid flooring is made from a single plank and is precisely milled to a thickness of 3/4 of an inch and our Engineered is manufactured with a thick layer of real hardwood, which is bonded to a high quality Birch multi-plywood, creating an overall thickness that is just under 3/4 of an inch.
